Ralph and Mary Alice Are On Their Way...

marcelloandi.jpg

On a very sad note, I found out today that my great uncle Louis died today. Mary Alice and Ralph fly out for KY tomorrow. I am happy to see my parents, but a funeral is not exactly what I had in mind.

The above picture is of Marcello and I! That was so fun! I miss DC.

Riiiiiiight....

To quote Special Agent Omar...."riiiiiiight" (in your best brittish accent). I think Beth and I exchanged that during work a million times. Yes...and we found it funny every time :)

The ol' W2's arrived in the mail today and I am proud to announce....that this is the first year EVER I have done my own taxes! I am so excited. Now..calm down everyone...my mother was an accountant...so I always just had to her them...it was not because I was too dumb or something. Anyway, like always..I owe federal but get back on state. I guess that is better than owing on both!

DC has killed me. I woke up and I thought my throat was on fire. Everyone that went to DC has this. It is only in my throat..nose and ears..and the mucus is just nasty. Yeah...I know...sounds like a sinus infection...again! Oh well. I will just have to chug the Odwalla...but not on an empty stomach...I always get sick when I do that!

I have recently joined MySpace.com. What a cute little site. I am still in the process of finding everyone...but it is a nice little getaway during work. If anyone has not checked that out...it is worth it!

Work is going well. Operation Move To NY is going well. All is well :) Life is good.

How Fun!

Yes..I am back...and I do not have my pictures up yet. I have some good ones..but I have to go thru them since the identities of some very nice looking agents cannot be revealed. Oh..yeah...and Weiss was too busy.

Priceless....

pa2.jpg

So as I was flicking thru the channels tonite...I came across this show that was asking people what the most important thing in their home was. This made me think a little...and then remember that I have one of the most important things (not counting people ie: family) right here in my apt!

Above is a peice of the World Trade Center that a Port Authority ESU cop gave me when I managed the territory of NJ. One of the officers working the pile was also a metal worker. When they took the I beams off the pile, he welded a cross for each ESU worker's badge #. My good friend Tibor gave me this one. I sometimes forget it is here. If anyone was to look at it...they would have no clue what it was...unless they read the note taped to the bottom. It is amazing that I have such a special and tragic peice of history right @ my desk. Interesting. Some day I might have to have it split so that I can give one half to my family. It is truly an amazing peice.

Well, off to bed.

Hidden Agenda Underwear

I swear..I have this customer (anyone who has ever watched TV will know which agency) that has drop down pannels on everything! Even a raincoat! I can't take it....they probably have hidden drop down pannels in their boxer shorts....how funny would that be...

He Hates The Pans!

nice.jpg

I only wish there was a picture of me with pans. I now know why he was hurting the day after. Who drinks and bangs pans together?!

Tonite was awesome...John and I just chilled on the couch after my trip to the gym. Sometimes it is just nice to relax and enjoy someone's company. I could not ask for a better start to the week!

My dad and I have the bond of "tattoo pain". Jake wishes he had the bond, but it would break him.

You Have Not Lived Until...

You spend your whole morning trying to find out what kind of pouches need to go onto the RTGS SV-II level IIIA vest. Common people...throw me a friggin bone...pick either the P4 plate or the TAP 443! The pouch needs to accomodate at 8x10..10x12 or both. This is not rocket science. They are killing me! I am so tempted just to send the RTGS SVS IIIA Microfiber vest and send them on their way.

*UPDATE*
Today has been quite productive....since I sell to the federal govt and today is a federal holiday...I have accomplished quite a bit:

1. Made dental appointment for 23rd (yes..the day before I go to DC). That should be fun.
2. Had a 25 minute conversation with my father.
3. Designed and sent out Pizza Party invites for DC to all my federal boys (yes...we are having a pizza party at the FOP the first night there....very fun!) it was admired by many of my co-workers. I think I might quit and become a graphic designer...or not.
4. Used the word "boitch" in a formal interoffice email. Really...it was hysterical...everyone got a good laugh.

54 minutes to go!

I Love Them!!!

86257961_b3d33073b7_m.jpg

Finally....I got a picture of my favorite earrings on the planet!! I got them in Sugar Loaf NY. The designer is Ayala Bar and she creates beautiful peices. Probably my favorite designer besides Isha Elafi. And do not make fun of how pale I am!!

As you can also see...I also got my hair done today! My girl Brittany does the best job in town!

Other than that....thank G*d it is Friday! This week at work has just been friggin nuts. Only one more week until we go to DC and the madness is over. Now that I have the camera up and running on Flickr, you had better belive I will have some awesome pics from the trip.

No lie...it was around 60 today....and now it is like 30. They are saying we should get 1-3 inches tonite! I cannot remember the last time the weather was so out of wack...but this is Kentucky....so all the seasons tend to blend together until summer.

Well...off to Kroger to pick up more Odwalla so that I can kick this sinus thing and NOT get sick. Then...to the couch I go! I have already informed everyone that I am staying in tonite...I deserve it! However, I will probably end up working from the computer....but it is worth a try.

My cute little apartment~

UGH!

It feels like a Friday....it could be because of the 8 page report I am working on here at work......someone just shoot me now!

Woohoo!

allmine.JPG

Score!!!!, I am now the proud owner of my very own Israel soccer jersey! For those who do not know me that well....I have a secret love of soccer jerseys. I do not wear them out or anything....but I chill around the apartment in them. I received notification that it has shipped and should be here soon......woohoo!

Oh...has anyone heard/seen Weiss....is he back yet? He should have been.....just have not heard anything.....

They are predicting that it will be 58 degrees here tomorrow. Can you friggin believe it? Figures...once I get my beautiful peacoat with gold buttons from the Limited it would be too warm to wear it. Oy.

Only a couple more weeks till Beth, Phil and I head to DC. We are very excited. Not only do we get to hang out with our fed buddies..but we get to celebrate Nikki's engagement! Actually...Heidi today found out her boyfriend bought an engagement ring (yeah..he has trouble keeping secrets) so we have even more to celebrate right here in KY. Well.....I guess once he gives her the ring we will...

Life Is Not Easy...

I was at work today and got a call around 3:15. It was one of the worst moments of my life (I have been pretty lucky the past 25 years)....it was my friend Blanton..who took my Golden Ret. Beauzach (not the Beauzach in NY) when I moved apartments a few years back. He had been having seizures and was heavily medicated. Apparently he had a stroke/bad seizure and she needed me to come down to the vet and be with her while he got put down. Well...I ran out of work....and when I got there...I took one look at Beau and knew it was time. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.....worse then when I had to give him away. I know it was the right thing to do....even the vet said there was nothing else to do.....but I had never been there when it was done. It was very peaceful...but very sad. I feel like I have done something wrong....even though I know it was right. I feel like my heart is broken.......

Off I Go....

As of 3:55 I will be on a plane back to ol Kentucky. I will be back to NY soon!

Tomorrow It Ends...

031.jpg

*Sigh* well, after 11 days of vacation...I head back to Lexington, KY tomorrow. Usually I am devistated...but this year I am going to move back to NY. I know I have said that in the past..but honestly...I am going to do it this year! However, I will admitt...I have been gone so long..working in NYC is a little nerve wrecking to me. Oh well...I just have to suck it up and make the change!

My brother and Katie are also looking for places in the city...and holy crap...rent is not cheap! I pay $479.00 a month in Kentucky and my place would probably house 3 people no problem...and I am on Tates Creek Golf Course....with my air..heat..water..garbage...all paid. The change is going to hit the ol pocket hard. Now, I know many of you have heard me say all this before...but this time it is for real. My boyfriend John has a young son who lives in Cinci and in a few months he will be moving down to live with him.......so.....that should make the move a lot easier. He (John) has no desire to move to NY....and wants to stay in Lexington with or without me (I guess when you have a kid your girlfriend does not come first...and it should not)...Soooooooo...soon I will be young (still), single (new part), and working (still).... just hopefully in a new place. Kentucky has kind of been a "stalling" for me...going to UK was just awesome...and the people here are great...but...now it is time that I start to grow up. So..if anyone has their own business laying around and needs to give people jobs...let me know!

Until then...back to KY and Galls I go......but this month will not be that bad...some of us are heading to DC for a ballistic vest shoot and some drinks with our federal agency boys....should be wild and fun!
